We have used various Hetzner services and have always had a great experience especially with their keen pricing and value for money. I suppose navigating their services across the different websites tends to be overly complex, particularly for new users, but the quality of service once you figure it all out is brilliant.
The policy for handling complaints is completely inadequate. Anyone pretending to be a legitimate company can scam a server into being blocked by submitting 2-4 complaints. The validity of the complaints doesn't matter.
They closed my account without the possibility of restoring the data and explaining the reason. It looks like discrimination against Ukrainians. It's good that I had backups. There was only one English language course website on VPS. Apparently, they didn't like that I moved from Germany to Thailand, and they thought that I was doing some kind of fraud. My requests to the support service were answered with template messages. In general, I realized that it's better not to deal with the Germans, as they have become very strange guys.
I can’t sing Hetzner’s praises enough! As a self-proclaimed female geek, I’ve had my fair share of tech support nightmares—but Hetzner? They’re in a league of their own!
From the very start, Camillo Heller helped me choose the perfect web hosting plan, making sure it fit my needs like a glove. Then, when it came to navigating the tangled web of DNS settings, Jan Venzke was an absolute legend, guiding me through it all with ease (and a lot of patience!). And just when I thought I might hit a snag, Patrick Reichart swooped in with crystal-clear instructions on how to redirect a domain—so simple, even my cat could follow along (though she was too busy napping, but you get the idea!).
The best part? They made everything so easy that I almost felt like a DNS wizard myself by the end of it! The whole process was smoother than a well-brewed cup of coffee.

For the past few months, I've been using Hetzner Cloud and VPS products in an aim to get off my more expensive VPS with a different host. I have been repeatedly impressed with the quality of their self-serve web interface where I can set up almost anything I need including networking, firewalls, billing and more.
Their prices are absolutely the best. I initially found Hetzner by doing price research and comparisons for offline backup storage. Their Vault product was absolutely within my budget and my home Synology NAS has been getting backed up with them for months now. For my Cloud instances, I'm using their America/Virginia datacenter.
In addition, I have found their support to be top notch. They reply pretty fast, and don't give me a lot of grief over my questions. Most things I've found in their excellent docs, though. They offer both Windows and Linux.
I definitely recommend Hetzner to anyone looking for VPS, Cloud or offline backup storage. I sent them a thank you email along these lines and they suggested I let others know how I feel with a review. Good idea!
Be careful with payment cards. They withdraw money even after refusing products. One day I forgot to pay for my subscription on time. The delay was within 1 week, but they immediately blocked my access to my personal account and stopped my virtual server. This upset me greatly and I decided to refuse their service. I paid the debt and asked to close all my subscriptions since I myself could not do this due to the fact that I could not log into my account. But despite this, a month later they charged my card again. Now I will have to transfer all the money from this card to prevent them from continuing to withdraw money.
I can only say one thing: it doesn't get any better than this. The support is very fast. Of course, when there's a lot going on, even the best support team can't react a toc. But when there has been a problem (which has been extremely rare in the long time I've been a customer there), they've always responded and fixed it very quickly. In the case of a massive server problem (total failure - and that only happened once in the whole time), the problem was even solved within less than 60 minutes. Most and the biggest problems are with domain transfers to Hetzner. However, these always originated on the site of the former hoster.
Hetzner is great! We are a costomer for 10 years. We run a very popular website and app with Millions of users and up to 100.000 request/s. Reasonable priced, top hardware, fast service. Hetzner rules! Can't say anything bad about it.
