e for "object storage" for months without any emails etc. It is buried in the footer of one of their replies that they won't cancel any service "for" you despite telling you that your services are cancelled, then ceasing to provide any further communication. I discovered it on my Visa, and had to create a ticket to find out what they wouldn't say when I requested cancellation, that unless you go through your account with a fine-tooth comb and look for anything they can possibly bill you for (that you didn't create, was auto-created for you and NOT under the products section where all your other stuff is) and cancel it manually yourself, then request formal written notice that all products and services (or anything they can possibly invoice you for) is cancelled, then they'll just keep billing you for months or years. Other hosts don't do this. You cancel with another host, and you're cancelled. They consider this as a "separate" service, and even though I requested cancellation of hostwinds "service" they didn't count this and claim that you have to do it yourself, where no other host seems to have this policy, for a very, very good reason. They must really be hurting for money if they have to opt you into stuff you didn't even want, or use, then refuse to cancel it, hide it, then not make perfectly clear this extra charge you didn't want will keep going, after 3 cancellation requests. 3. Finally got it cancelled.
