Based on hands-on testing, MacawHost’s VPS plans performed well above their price point, with fast NVMe storage, stable networking, and support that answered a real technical question accurately within 14 minutes. The dedicated server line is solid for capacity and network speed but trails the VPS on raw CPU and disk performance.
VPS hosting is available in New York Metro City, USA, and Sofia, Bulgaria. Dedicated servers add a third location in Amsterdam, Netherlands, giving that product line more regional coverage than the VPS plans currently offer.
MacawHost provides a 14-day money-back guarantee on VPS, Shared, WordPress, and WooCommerce hosting, and a 7-day window on dedicated servers. Refunds don’t apply once a service has been active past that window, or if a new account was purchased just to avoid a renewal charge.
Virtualizor is the control panel embedded directly in MacawHost’s client dashboard for managing a VPS. It handles power controls, hostname and password changes, SSH keys, VNC access, bandwidth graphs, and firewall settings without requiring a separate login.
MacawHost’s VPS plans run on KVM virtualization, and support confirmed that loading an existing kernel module through modprobe is possible. Custom kernels and custom OS images aren’t supported, and MacawHost recommends a dedicated server for any workload that depends heavily on kernel-level configuration.
